Mother Franciska Lechner |
Our History
Our Mother Franziska Lechner began her work in 1868 Vienna, Austria
in opening St. Mary's Homes for working girls during the European
Industrial Revolution. The Congregation's apostolic works now extend to
the education of youth, providing care and home for the elderly, the
mentally, physically and psychologically disabled.
Our sisters now serve in Albania, Africa, Austria,
Bolivia, Boznia, Brazil, Croatia, Czech Republic, England, Germany,
Hungary, Italy, Kosovo, Macedonia, Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine and The
United States.
"...we endeavor with God's grace and assistance, to
make ourselves available to the needs of the Church in the contemporary
world." (Our Mission Statement).
Our goal is to provide for the social and spiritual needs
of the times of those entrusted to our care.
